The American Medical Women's Association is the oldest multispecialty organization dedicated to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health. The American Medical Women’s Association empowers women to lead in improving health for all within a model that reflects the unique perspective of women. It is an organization that functions at the local, national, and international level to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances.

 

The American Women's Medical Association chapter at the UC Riverside campus strives to foster the interests and passions of motivated women on campus who plan on pursuing a career in healthcare or medicine. Our organization satisfies this goal through outreaching to and serving the local Inland Empire community, providing our members opportunities to network with other women with similar career interests, and through bringing in guest speakers from medical schools and those pursuing various healthcare professions.
